Decks for Parks
"Decks for Parks" is a personal initiative of a verynice design studio in collaboration with Abominable Apparel and RWS skateboards. Each "Decks for Parks" board that is sold promises to donate a portion of the proceeds to organizations that are working to build skateparks in local and underprivileged communities, such as the Tony Hawk Foundation. Matthew Manos, the founder of a verynice design studio, started skateboarding in parks at the age of 4, and found the experience of skateboarding life-changing, helping him to see the world the way he does today.
GOOD Magazine
These illustrations were created for GOOD Magazine by a verynice design studio's founder, Matthew Manos. Each of this selection of illustration contributions were featured on good.is for various online articles including "Why Don't We Have More Women Politicians," "Would You Give Your Vote?," and more. Adopt a Unit
Adopt a Unit is a non-profit organization in New Orleans, LA that chooses one military Unit (currently serving overseas) to "Adopt" at a time. Through donations, we purchase various supplies designed to make the soldiers more comfortable and provide them with a taste of home. In an effort to serve ALL of our soldiers’ needs, we ask the unit how many female soldiers they have and are careful to include items geared toward them as well as the men. These generic items commonly include: socks, baby wipes, sports bras, snacks, movies, music, personal care items, etc.
Cloud9 Shirts
This shirt was designed for Cloud 9 shirts. Cloud 9 is an apparel company based in Los Angeles that commissions local artists/designers/studios to create shirts which raise awareness of the homeless and aim to fight hunger. Proceeds from each shirt sold benefit local food shelters. This shirt was created with verynice contributor, Charles Espeleta.
Live Now!
Live Now! is a project started by cancer survivor Eric Smith consisting of a growing collection of artwork, thoughts, experiences and ideas, powerfully pursuing the notion of 'living now'. Engaging participants to live meaningful lives & be happy! Eric approached a verynice design studio and asked us to contribute to his growing project. The idea is that the works collected by the "Live Now!" organization would help inspire those struggling with cancer and promotes an optimistic lifestyle.
Alternative Spring Break
A verynice design studio was asked to create a t-shirt for the University of Michigan's "Alternative Spring Break" chapter. The shirt's design and illustrations were done in collaboration with verynice volunteer, Greg Ruben. Alternative Spring Break (ASB) is a program that allows students to spend their spring breaks devoting their time to volunteer/charity work for a multitude of different causes. This shirt is warn by all volunteers for the University of Michigan's ASB chapter and is designed to reflect all of the different causes the students' hard work will benefit.
